The New Forms: Are They Final?
A Request for Feedback
The new Fannie Mae forms are out and will, obviously, be required starting November 1 st. Will these be the absolute last of the “new” forms? Probably not. History has shown that the forms will get fine-tuned over future months – or even years. (After the last update in 1993, the forms were changed many times over a period of several years.)
Fannie Mae would like your input to ensure that the forms are working as best as possible; so they’d like your input. If you’d like to give your insight into how the new forms are working for you, Joan Trice can help you get heard.
In the October 20 th edition of AppraisalBuzz, Joan makes her request.
We thought we’d let you here it directly from her:
“Mark Simpson, Fannie Mae, very much wants your feedback on the new forms. Somebody out there must be using them? And no, he nor I want to hear that you have to buy new software, you don't like change, yada yada yada. The new forms are a reality. He wants to know what areas need further clarification. I am seeing a lot of advice being bantered about on the email forums and from what I understand a lot of that advice is wrong!
Send me an email, jtrice@appraisalbuzz.com with "New Forms" in the subject line and I will forward your comments to Mark. He is working with me on an interview for next week to clarify any issues you might have. And of course, he and Jacquie Doty of Freddie Mac are the keynote speakers at Valuation 2005 in Las Vegas . You can ask in person for clarification as there will be a Q & A session.”
