Appraisal Institute Show - Southern California Chapter - A Success

ClickFORMS and the new Motion Computing tablet were the center of attention at the Appraisal Institute show in Southern California today.

Appraisers are more ready to adopt mobile technology today than ever before. Perhaps that’s why the Bradford Technologies booth was swamped during every break (and occasionally during sessions – you know who you are). Tablets are the ideal solution for many appraisers because you can have your computer, and software, with you when you are doing your work. And it allows you to enter information in a more natural way, using voice and writing recognition.

We know you have to enter information to create your reports.  We just believe that you shouldn’t have to do it more than once. Tablet PCs are an important part of that equation. ClickFORMS is the other.

Only ClickFORMS was written from the ground up with tablets in mind.  Here is a sampling of what we have done to make your life in the field easier:

  •  “Auto Display Responses” (Shift+Ctrl+R) allows you to enter a whole series of responses from custom lists with pen or voice.
  • Inspection forms designed to be filled out while walking around the house (then transfer seamlessly into the major forms).
  • Development partnership with Ricoh that enables you to instantly send photos directly into the correct cells in your report with no wires. No more misplaced or questionable photos.

Appraisers are definitely past the “early adopter” phase of tablet technology (which started with ClickFORMS two years ago).  Now we are into “keeping up with the Joneses”.  Don’t wait until everyone else is saying “How did I ever get along without it?”  It’s sooner than you think.

ClickFORMS Works with Windows XP SP2

Microsoft has just released the second service pack (SP2) for Windows XP.  We have heard that not all applications get along nicely with this new Windows version. Ours does.

One of the advantages of being certified by Microsoft as “Designed for Windows” is that our customers know that they can rely on ClickFORMS to be stable and completely compatible with new versions. This is another example of how ClickFORMS is hassle-free.

Just in case, we performed some extensive testing on ClickFORMS and guess what?  Everything works!  That shouldn’t be a surprise, but considering how important it is that your system is ready for business whenever you are, we wanted to be sure.

Windows certification is not a glamorous feature, but our customers benefit from it every day.  Wouldn’t it be great if all appraisers were so fortunate?

New ClickFORMS Masters Certification Program

How do you turn off page numbering? How can you quickly sort your comparables on your report? How do you convert a URAR to a 2055? These are some questions that you might ask yourself when you’re using ClickFORMS and this is why we’ve created the new ClickFORMS Masters Certification Program.

The ClickFORMS Masters Certification Program is designed to show you the answers to these questions and much more. One of our goals here at Bradford Technologies is to make you as productive as possible so you can complete more reports or simply have more free time on your hands.

This new program is mainly self-paced so you can go through it at your convenience. It includes watching our “Show Me How” videos, interacting with our trainers, and completing the ClickFORMS Masters Test. Once you complete the program, you receive a Certificate of Achievement giving you ClickFORMS Master status. But more importantly, by completing this program you will know how to use all the tools that make you as productive as possible with ClickFORMS. You might even know ClickFORMS as well as Jeff Bradford himself.

Feel free to contact your account manager for more information about the ClickFORMS Masters Certification Program.

Tech Tip

When using Services, Location Maps, if you get the error "There was a problem loading the map  image file..." check the following items:

  • All addresses in the address locator have Street #, Name, City, State, and Zip Codes

  • That there is no additional information in those cells

  • If you are in a Condo, check the City Name, to make sure you are not using the Project name

  • That you are not using Townships

  • If your reports are on a bordering city (try the next closest city)

  • Check your subject address or zip code with Mapquest
