Is a la mode a dishonest company?  Of course not.

In ClickTALK News #75, on June 4, we included an article reporting a la mode’s false claim of helping with the development of Fannie Mae’s new forms.  In our reporting, we may have inadvertently conveyed the impression that a la mode may be a dishonest company.  We regret this implication.

We also made a statement that Bradford Technologies is “the last honest appraisal software company”, which of course is not true.

We did not intend to imply in this article that a la mode is a dishonest company.  We regret that this may have been the result and apologize for any misrepresentation or mischaracterization of a la mode or any other vendor that may have resulted from these statements.

Mobile Appraising at the Appraisal Institute Summer Conference June 24-27

If you are going to be at the Appraisal Institute's Summer Conference this next June 24-27 in Toronto Canada, please stop by and say hello. Bradford Technologies will be sponsoring the Tablet PC Computing Lounge. In this lounge-like setting, you can relax and learn about the latest in mobile computing. We'll be showing how to combine ClickForms, mobile-based AreaSketch, special digital field inspection forms, and a new digital camera to wirelessly transfer the photo directly into the report. Please stop by if you are at the conference. We want to show you how to eliminate the hassles and increase your productivity in mobile appraising.

Wirelessly Transfer Photos Directly into Your Report While in the Field

What is one of the biggest hassles you encounter when taking digital photos in the field. Is it transferring them into the report? Is it making sure the right photo goes with the right comp? We have eliminated these hassles. In the next version of ClickForms we will be showing you how to wirelessly transfer photos directly into the appraisal report or into a new Property Inspection Photo form for error-free recording and saving of the images you take in the field.

If you are at the AI Summer Conference in Toronto next week (June 24-27) we will be showing this capability. If you are not going to be attending, that's ok because you'll get this capability in the next release of ClickForms scheduled for early July. All customers on the ClickForms Maintenance will receive this update.

Note that a wireless capable camera is required to transmit photos to your computer; ClickFORMS takes care of the rest.

Comments to Fannie Mae on New Forms

Last week we started a new thread in the ClickForms User Group forum specifically for your comments on the new forms released by Fannie Mae.  If you have comments please post them to this thread. We will be consolidating posts on the forms from other threads into this common thread. Whatever your thoughts, I think Fannie Mae needs to hear from you. This is your opportunity to vote.

As an aside, there is a thread, three pages long concerning whether we will be publishing the new forms. The answer is a big YES. They will be in the next release scheduled for early July.

Mark Your Calendar: August 4-6, San Francisco - Appraisal Today Conference

If you are in the bay area plan on attending the Appraisal Today Conference in August 4-6 in the South San Francisco. Also plan on attending the "Residential Forms - What’s New in Technology" session on Thursday morning 9am to 12noon. Jeff Bradford will be speaking on new technology in residential appraising. Look for him to cover topics on mobile appraising and web-based appraising.  Details on the conference can be found at http://www.appraisaltoday.com/2004conference

Plan on also attending the ClickForms User Group meeting that will be head at the conference.
