New Fannie Mae Forms are Coming Mark Simpson of Fannie Mae gave the keynote speech at Valuation 2004. In the talk, he said the long anticipated forms will be coming out in June. We just want to reassure everyone that our aim is to be the first software vendor to make the forms available to the industry. As we get more information, we'll be sure to pass it on. New Fannie Mae Handbook for Appraisers Looking for some good reading? Fannie Mae has published a new "Handbook for Appraisers". It is a great reference guide with lots of information on what Fannie Mae expects from appraisers. Here's a quick overview of the handbook: 1. The Role of the Appraiser in the
Underwriting Process. We will be covering topics from the handbook in future issues of ClickTALK, but if you would like to order your own copy or get additional copies, call 1-800-471-5554, between 9am - 5pm ET and ask for publication CT147. ClickFORMS User Group Meeting at Valuation 2004 a Success The ClickFORMS User Group meeting at Valuation 2004 was quite a success. Everyone had a good time and it was enjoyable meeting everyone. Jeff Bradford demoed the new word processor that will be coming out in ClickFORMS as well as the new Image Editor. Also the new sketcher, AreaSketch was demonstrated working on one of the new Motion Computing Tablet PCs. Everyone provided feedback on what's working well and also what they would like to see enhanced in ClickFORMS. We brought back the information and the programmers now have their marching orders. As a special treat (beside the free beer and wine), everyone in attendance received one of the new ClickFORMS mouse pads. (See the details below to get your own ClickFORMS mouse pad.) It was a pleasure meeting everyone. Those of you who attended, thanks. Those of you who could not attend, we will be having another one in August at the Appraisal Today 2004 Conference in San Francisco. Dates for the conference are August 5-6. See www.appraisaltoday.com for more info.
Next User Group Meeting in August The ClickFORMS User Group meeting was such a success that we have decided to have as many of these as we can fit into the year. The next meeting will be August at the Appraisal Today 2004 Conference in San Francisco. Dates for the conference are August 5-6. There will be continuing ed at the conference, but if you don't need the credits and just want to attend the tradeshow and the user group, the cost for show only tickets is only $5. This is a deal and a half so if you are anywhere near San Francisco during the first week in August, you have no excuse to not be at the ClickFORMS User Group meeting. More details to follow. For info on the conference click on www.appraisaltoday.com. Get a ClickFORMS Mouse Pad So you weren't at the ClickFORMS User Group meeting in Las Vegas last week and you missed out on getting a cool ClickFORMS mouse pad. Lucky you, you can still get one. While supplies last, you can purchase a ClickFORMS mouse pad for only $10 (that includes shipping). If you would also like to get one for that special person in your life, you can purchase 2 for only $15. Call today while supplies last. You can reach your account representative at 800-622-8727. Continuation of Flood Map Service Requires ClickFORMS v2.4.4 Just a quick reminder, if you purchased an allotment of flood maps, be sure you have upgraded to version 2.4.4 of ClickFORMS. Earlier versions of ClickFORMS will no longer process flood map requests. If you have purchased an allotment and have version 2.4.4, the only difference in service will be that when you request a flood map it will be counted against your purchased allotment. New Order Form - Thanks For Your Suggestions We received a number of detailed suggestions for the new order form we will be implementing. Thank you very much to all who submitted suggestions. For your feedback, we will be implementing an "intelligent" form that will not only display the order information, but will help you communicate and keep track of the appraisal status as the report progresses through the appraisal process. It will essentially serve as a workflow status and control form. We'll keep you posted as we finalize more of the details. If you would like to comment or send suggestions on this new order/status/workflow form, please do not hesitate to send them to suggestions@bradfordsoftware.com. All comments are welcome. Also, if you have a suggestion on a name for this form, we'd like to hear it. It definitely needs one. A New Standard for Describing Property - Property XML Next week in Santa Monica, the MBA MISMO Workgroups will start approving the standard for describing property information. This is part of the overall work Bradford Technologies has been involved in for the past four years to create an open standard for transmitting appraisals. We'll keep you posted on the progress of this work and what it means for you. Have a Good Weekend Everyone Have a good weekend everyone.
