ClickFORMS Masters earn rewards If you have answered some of the questions in our ClickFORMS Master Quiz, you may have learned something about ClickFORMS that you didn't know before. But why would anyone want to become a ClickFORMS Master? For some of you the reward is the intellectual satisfaction. For others, it will be the increased productivity that comes with knowing all of this stuff. But in case those reasons are not enough, here is what else each new ClickFORMS Master earns: 1. Free advertising in the Appraiser Directory - temporary listing as a new ClickFORMS Master 2. A 10% discount off of your next purchase of ClickFORMS software and services 3. A handsome certificate acknowledging your accomplishment to hang on the wall ClickFORMS Tip #27 - Create your own custom eraser in WinSketch Are WinSketch erasers causing you problems? Some of you are not satisfied with the size or shape of the erasers that come with WinSketch. It might be nice to have an eraser that is the exact width of a doorway, for example. And occasionally, some of you wind up with erasers that leave outlines on them after you have applied them to your sketch. Here is a procedure to create an eraser that is exactly the size and shape you want, and behaves the way it should. Once you are in the WinSketch application follow these steps: 1. Click on Style in the WinSketch menu bar, then select "None". 2. Click on Fill in the WinSketch menu bar, then select the white space, under the word None. 3. Click on Draw in the WinSketch menu bar, then select the desired shape for your eraser. 4. Draw in the grid area the exact size and shape you wish for your eraser to be. When you let go of your mouse button, the border will vanish and you will be left with a white area, identifiable only if there is something under it, like the grid or a sketch line. 5. Click on the black arrow in the toolbar. 6. Click on the white area you just created to select the shape. You should see gray squares around the shape, indicating that it has been selected. 7. Click on Edit in the WinSketch menu bar, then select "Make Symbol". 8. Enter a name for your new eraser, like "Eraser 4" or "My Eraser". 9. To use your new eraser, click on Draw in the WinSketch menu bar, then select Symbols to open the symbol library. If the symbol library is already open, this step will close it. 10. At the bottom of the symbol list (you will have to use the scroll bar) you will find your eraser. 11. Select your eraser and apply it to your sketch. Note that this procedure may be used to create virtually any custom symbol, and they will still be there next time you open WinSketch.
