New Online Map Service, Old One
To Be Discontinued
We have
switched our online location map providers. With ClickFORMS
version 2.4.7 or lower, your online location maps will stop
working on December 31, 2004 at midnight.
We have
switched to the Microsoft MapPoint web service. ClickFORMS version
2.4.8 or higher will be needed to access the new service to
avoid any interruption.
If you have
not upgraded to either version 2.4.8 or 2.4.9, we strongly urge
you to do so to continue using online maps. If you are on version
2.4.8, you do not need to upgrade to 2.4.9 unless you are having
the PDF issue as noted in the next article.
If your
ClickFORMS Software Maintenance is current, you received an
email notification with a link to the update. Please use the
link as it will facilitate the download process. If your software
maintenance is not current, we encourage you to contact your
Account Manager at (800) 622-8727 and renew to continue receiving
the online services.
ClickFORMS
v 2.4.8 and Creating PDFs Issue
After releasing
version 2.4.8, we discovered that customers with Windows XP
Home Edition with Service Pack 2, had problems creating PDFs
using the ClickFORMS PDF Creator. We resolved the problem within
a day and released a new version of ClickFORMS on Monday, December
20th. This is version 2.4.9 and the only difference is the fix
to PDF issue. You do not need to upgrade if you are not having
the problem. If you have installed 2.4.8 and want to upgrade
to 2.4.9, please read the installation instructions before doing
so.

AppraisalWorld Websites Coming Soon
AppraisalWorld
is an online community for appraisers. It was developed to give
you a solid Internet presence not just as individuals, but as
a group. The initial release of AppraisalWorld will have a Directory
of Appraisers and Appraiser Websites. This will be followed
by many more services in 2005.
For a limited
time, we will be offering a free introductory membership so
you can get listed in the Directory of Appraisers. Many of you
that were in the Appraiser Directory on the Bradford Software
website have been notified of the change and have opted to be
in the AppraisalWorld Directory. If you did opt in, your listing
has already been transferred over.
As in any
community where you work and play, you probably want to live
there. AppraisalWorld is no different and so as a member of
the community, you will be able to own a home in the community.
Your "home" of course is your own website dedicated
to conducting and promoting your appraisal business online.
Model Homes will be available. Currently, we have 72 designs
from which you can create over 200 different websites to suit
your own needs and style. These websites are NOT based on Flash,
so search engines like Google and Yahoo will be able to find
you and catalog your specific content much easier.

desktop (or wireless Tablet PC) running ClickFORMS to an online

will provide a seamless conduit for information about orders,
status messaging and services between your clients and other
service providers. Below is an illustration of what and

MapPro Integration Coming Soon
MapPro,
Inc. is a Houston, Texas based company specializing
in mapping solutions for real estate professionals. Their product,
also called MapPro, is a CD-Rom based mapping solution that
creates Location Maps, FEMA Flood Maps and Environmental Hazard
Maps.
The integration
with ClickFORMS has been completed. We are currently going through
the final testing and verification stages. MapPro will work
similar to GeoLocator and be accessible under the Tools menu.
The unique
feature to MapPro is that it will create all three maps (location,
flood and hazard) for you at once, if you choose. And all three
maps pop into the ClickFORMS report at the same time. If you
routinely produce a location map and a flood map, this product
will save you some time.
The next
release of ClickFORMS, scheduled for the early January will
