Appraiser Talkback Survey
Sponsored by OREP.org and WorkingRE the new nationwide Appraiser Talkback Survey looks to appraisers to share information about the state of the profession from your perspective. Working RE mails to the entire profession and is therefore a natural vehicle for gathering appraiser survey data nationwide. Check out this link to view the first survey findings: http://www.workingre.com/workingre/hvcc-talkback-survey.htm
Charles M. McMillan, the president of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), has written letters to the chief executive officers of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, urging a 12-month delay of the implementation of the Home Valuation Code of Conduct (HVCC). The letter has been carbon copied to the CEO of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) and New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo.
Both of these letters are available online in PDF format, via AppraisalScoop.com. To view copies of these letters, click these links: http://appraisalnewsonline.typepad.com/files/williams-fannie-mae-hvcc-delay-04202009.pdf

Get up to date on the web
Are you using the most recent version of your browser? If not, then you aren't keeping up-to-date with web technologies used by your favorite websites, including BradfordSoftware.com.
Keeping your web browser up-to-date improves your internet security against spyware and malware, helps block pop-up windows, allows you to fully utilize websites with advanced web technologies and gives you access to new, easy-to-use features.
How do I check the version of my current web browser?
Internet Explorer (IE): Click the "Help" menu below the Address Bar, and select "About Internet Explorer." A window should pop up with information about that release. Next to "Version" should be a number with several decimal points; the first number (followed by a decimal point) should reveal which version you are using. If you are using Internet Explorer version 6, which was released more than 8 years ago, please update to version 7. IE 6 is not compatible with many current websites, including BradfordSoftware.com and AppraisalWorld.com. (If you are using the new IE8, please enable "Compatibility Mode" to ensure compatibility with our websites.)

Firefox: Click the "Help" menu below the Address Bar, and select "About Mozilla Firefox" in the options below. A window should pop up with information about that release. Next to "Version" should be a number with multiple decimal points; the first number (followed by a decimal point) should reveal which version you are using. Bradford Technologies recommends that you use Mozilla Firefox 3.

Bradford Technologies celebrates Earth Day
On Wednesday, April 22, Bradford Technologies celebrated Earth Day in a fun and Earth-friendly fashion. Each employee received two reusable bags in an effort to help reduce the estimated 500 billion to one trillion plastic bags consumed each year. A raffle was also held for various Earth-friendly items, such as Energy Smart light bulbs, biodegradable all-purpose cleaners and bathroom tissue made from 100% recycled paper.

Earlier this week, our green initiatives were put to the test when the San Francisco Bay Area experienced a short heat wave — during the day the temperature at our office topped 100 degrees. Our array of solar panels not only provided the power to cool our office, but contributed energy back into the Silicon Valley power grid.
We hope you've found our series of green tips helpful in saving money and resources for your office. This is the last in our series, but further information on the green initiatives at Bradford Technologies is available at http://www.bradfordsoftware.com/about/green.shtml
Thanks for supporting us.
