ClickFORMS 6.0 Released: What's New
Version 6.0 of ClickFORMS is loaded with new, thoroughly tested code that adds significant functionality and stability to what is already the industry's most stable, hassle-free appraisal software. Here's an overview of the additions to ClickFORMS 6.0:
Direct integration with Valuation Support Services (commonly known as RELS) for receiving orders and transmitting back the appraisal report. This new technology helps eliminate errors and reduces the submission cycle to literally zero, as any issues are dealt with before the report is submitted. We are very proud to have participated in the development of this new industry standard, and believe that in the future all appraisal reports will be transmitted with this same type of technology.
If you would like to receive orders from VSS, see this link for instructions on how to get on their approval list.
Beefed up sketcher integration with Apex and AreaSketch. We had anticipated removing the integration with Apex 2.x versions as Apex no longer supports them, but were able to keep it alive a bit longer. If you are using an Apex 2.x version, we recommend that you upgrade your sketcher. This integration won't be around much longer.
Integration with Rapid Sketch. A small percentage of our users have decided to use Rapid Sketch, so to accommodate them we have formalized the integration in version 6.0.
There were a considerable number of bug fixes and enhancements. Most notable are:
ClickFORMS version 6.0 is now available for download from our website.
Census Tract Lookup Service Disrupted
The Census Tract Lookup Service is one of those helpful services that saves you time by automating the steps that you'd otherwise have to do manually. ClickFORMS queries the FFIEC (Federal Financial Institutions Examinations Council) website to retrieve the Census Tracts. Unfortunately, they periodically change the site, causing the link to break. This happened last week, but we were able to reprogram the query steps and get the service functioning again with version 6.0 of ClickFORMS.
Apex 2.x Continues to be Supported in ClickFORMS 6.0
We had announced in earlier issues of ClickTalk that 2.x versions of Apex would no longer be supported in ClickFORMS. Due to some minute changes, we were able to continue supporting Apex 2.x. However, we do not expect this to continue much longer, since Apex no longer supports these old versions and the effort to maintain integration gets more difficult with each release. So we strongly urge you to update. Don't wait until the integration breaks! To update, visit the AppraisalWorld Shopping Mall for a great member discount.
Bradford Technologies Sponsors Appraiser Independence Conference
Over the last few months we have been a sponsor of Appraiser Independence Conferences, designed to highlight the issue of appraisal fraud and solutions to the problem. The last one was in Charlotte, North Carolina and was well received. If you have the opportunity to attend one, we encourage you to do so. There is a lot going on in the industry, especially with the potential changes with HVCC, and these conferences are a great place to learn about these things.
The next conference is in Mission Valley in sunny Southern California on August 8, 2008. For more information, visit: http://www.allterragroup.com/course_description_aica08.php
Have a great week, and as always, thanks for being a ClickFORMS user!
