Bradford Technologies and Apex Software Partner to Benefit Their Mutual Customers

Bradford Technologies and Apex Software have developed a strategic partnership to benefit their mutual customers. The result will be a more streamlined integration of Bradford Technologies’ ClickFORMS™ appraisal form software with the Apex Medina™ sketcher.

This partnership will also provide a new level of enhanced support to Bradford Technologies and Apex Software customers for a better overall user experience. As part of creating a more seamless integration between the latest versions of ClickFORMS and Apex, Apex has developed a more powerful, new integration control that will streamline the process. In addition, Bradford Technologies support staff as well as Apex software will be rigorously cross trained on all product features.

Starting May 1, 2008, because of the new integration control, ClickFORMS will only integrate with Apex Medina. Earlier versions of Apex will no longer integrate with or be supported by Bradford Technologies. For this reason, if you are using an earlier version of Apex, now is the perfect time to upgrade to Apex Medina.

Tech Tip

We have found a solution for Windows Vista® users who were not being able to update their ClickFORMS™ software. In most cases, the issue has been due to the User Account Control. (Vista’s “This is for your own good” function.)

The solution for ClickFORMS users is to turn off the UAC, reboot (your system will require you to restart), update ClickFORMS, and then turn the UAC function back on, if you wish to do so.

HOW TO TURN OFF THE UAC

To turn off the UAC (User Account Control), follow these instructions:

Go to Control Panel.

In the Control Panel, click on User Accounts.

Click on Turn User Account Control on or off.

You’ll receive a notice stating “Windows Needs Your Permission to Continue”. Click on Continue.

Uncheck the box that reads “Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer." Then click on OK.

You will be prompted to restart your computer. Restart your PC.

Note: In about half of these instances, ClickFORMS needs to be re-registered. In such an instance, click on Register from the Help menu in ClickFORMS.
